paper hats present their trippy take on the hard-to-maintain work-life balance in a brand new equally trippy video by Jaak De Digitale.
Belgium has seen a steady rise in the number of quality psychedelic bands as of late, and we’re not talking about the 70’s kind. Think loud synthesisers, jazzy drums, heavy beats and the complete lack of ability to put the music in a particular category. Much like Beraadgeslagen, Commander Spoon or Bombataz, the Londerzeel-based paper hats is an unorthodox electronic band with a strong live reputation. Over the past years, they closed those live sets with Slipper, the ever-evolving result of a jam session.
In its essence, Slipper is a trilogy that reflects the intensity of the band member’s duality between life after dark and life during the day. The release consists of a Friday version, Saturday version, and a hard-hitting B1980 rework (made by GOOSE’s Bert Libeert). Today, the band is proud to premiere the trippy video of the Saturday version, made by the incredible Jaak De Digitale who went all out. Warning: do not watch when you're in a bad trip!
