A well-crafted collection of fragile and harmonious ambient tracks by Adriaan de Roover is just what we need in these turbulent times.
You may know Adriaan de Roover as the man behind Oaktree, a project that combined electronic music with neo-classical elements. Under his given name, Adriaan's new direction is more centred around an abstract, yet playful, sound design. This new EP continues in the same direction but offers a more minimal and quiet approach.
'Voor Anderen' is a collection of commissioned pieces that were created between 2015 and 2018. All tracks were made to be part of specific projects by visual artists Thomas Thai and Damiaan Jacobs. Despite the conceptual and fragmented origins of all the songs, 'Voor Anderen' offers a consistent set of five pieces depicting de Roovers capabilities of merging feelings of distance and proximity into melancholic sonic entities.
