With Opposites, we show a different - opposite - side of Belgian artists as they let us in their personal bubble and showcase five of their favorite tracks, completely opposite of what they’re known for.
Spiritualized - Ladies and Gentlemen We are floating in space
"This is one of my most favourite songs ever. When I was young -between 13 and 17- I was obsessed with skateboarding. I wanted to become pro, and without exception, I was skateboarding every single day. To top it off, this song is also used on one of my favourite skateboard videos: Transworld - Modus Operandi! I remember the feeling I would get watching this over and over. It made me motivated and moved at the same time. To me, it sums up how I see life on this strange little planet, floating in space."
Floori.D.A. - Rabbit in the Moon (Lunasol's Sub)
"Another song that I discovered through skateboard videos. Actually, it's on the same video as mentioned above! Lately I started to think every person has certain frequency that they feel comfortable with instead of a genre. It's such a beautiful piece of piano. This completely resonates with my soul and makes me wish I could play piano, just to be able to play the song."
Andre Nickatina - Baking Soda In Minnesota
"The man's flow is ridiculous! There are a lot of great hip hop songs out there. This might not be known by many of you, but its killer! Yet another one I discovered trough skateboarding. Baker 2G baby!"
Sunnata - Zorya
"Time for some Doom Metal now! There is so much energy that transfers to me when I'm listening to heavy metal: I feel alive and free when listening to this kind of stuff. Its so completely different from anything I do musically, that my 'producers-mind' doesn't get involved and I can just enjoy it with a novice mind. This track just came out this year and I have been listening to it non stop. The whole album is great, really, but this is my favourite."
Rammstein - Buck dich
"Rammstein is my all-time favourite band. I pretty much like all of the songs they have ever released -except one or two, maybe. Its a rare thing to be able to listen to the whole discography of one single artist and love it all."
