Left Of Shore: a new weekly boat party series in Antwerp

Share

Left of Shore will host parties with 25 rowboats at one of Antwerp's most beautiful waterside locations.

Antwerp insiders may already know this spot, but that may very well change soon. Regatta Club, a floating wakeboard bar at the Galgenweel pond on Linkeroever will be the scene of a very peculiar new initiative. Every Saturday from July 26 onwards Left of Shore will welcome a maximum of 100 guests on their 25 rowboats that will float around the idyllic bay, usually reserved for water activities by WakeUpCable. In this way, the organisation of the event remains well within the boundaries of the social distancing regulations.

Every weekend, a fine selection of Belgian DJs will grace the booth - starting with Faisal and DC Noises on July 25 (event page here), followed by A Local Hero on August 1.

In practice, the organisation will work in three three-and-a-half hour-long shifts between noon and midnight, allowing crew enough time to disinfect every boat between operation. Other measures will be taken to ensure different groups will not be able to mingle. Reservations will be mandatory.
