A playlist showcasing the endless shades of Belgian drum ‘n’ bass and dubstep, selected by homegrown specialists. Up next: James Marvel.
According to Urban Dictionary, a bass face means “the facial acrobatics that one engages in when playing a particularly groovy bassline”. But you don’t have to explain that to the drum ‘n’ bass and dubstep fans amongst us. They know what a set of hard-hitting drums and a nasty bassline can do. Now, they have a playlist that contains the ultimate selection of homegrown tracks in the broken beat genres.
James Marvel has been a part of the front row massive crew in the Belgian drum ‘n’ bass scene for a long time. If you haven’t heard his smash hits like “Way of the Warrior” or “Dominator”, his track record as one of Europe’s busiest touring badmen speaks for itself. With the inception of his own imprint, Space Pirate Recordings, the marvellous junglist shows no signs of stopping the party anytime soon.
