Antwerp has its fair share of quality open-air events during the summer, and this year it looks like one of the most prolific ones will throw the biggest edition yet. For the first time, Contrair Open Air will take place across two days: Friday June 19 and Saturday June 20. The first day will mostly feature live acts, while the second is all about DJs. As previously announced, Job Jobse and AliA will both host a stage showcasing some of the finest cutting-edge artists in house, techno and experimental electronic music out there. Today, we know which artist we can expect. In alphabetical order:
a local hero - Alfred Anders - AliA - Avalon Emerson - Beta Librae - Bjeor - Bufiman (live) - Corrupted (live + dj-set) - DJ Fett Burger - DJ Peugeot - Dmx Krew (live) - Dr. Rubinstein - DTM Funk - Elias Mazian - Fafi Abdel Nour - Hill Men - Job Jobse - Josey Rebelle - Karel (live) - Konna - Le Motel - Noot & Boot - Objekt & Ezra Miller (live) - Orpheu The Wizard - Pearson Sound - Peach - Roi Perez - Sixsixsixties - Spaziale Soundsystem feat. As previous visitors of Contrair Open Air will know, the stages will look unlike anything else you've seen so far. This year too, the organization teams up with the architecture division of the Sint Lukas in Ghent, spearheaded by Michiel Helbig. Ticket sales are going fast, so act quick if you want to be part of one of the most interesting little festivals this country has to offer.
